Explore Shrieve's History
Jim Shrieve started Shrieve Chemical Company in 1978 with a vision to provide market-leading industrial chemicals across the United States. For more than 40 years, Shrieve has been a leading value-added chemicals distributor serving attractive markets and end-use applications globally. Today, Shrieve continues to fulfill that same vision.
Yet for customers, employees and suppliers, Shrieve is much more than that.
Shrieve seeks out market inefficiencies and turns them into market wins for customers and suppliers. Using their knowledge network, Shrieve finds the best match between customer need and product application. As more customers come under the Shrieve umbrella, they attract more suppliers seeking out new applications for their products.
Through organic growth and strategic acquisitions over the years, Shrieve now operates globally in four distinct business groups: Chemical Distribution, Specialty Lubricants and Enhancers, Custom Packaging, and Energy Products and Services.
