Jason VanVleet

Chief Executive Officer

Jason VanVleet was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer in April 2025 after previous serving as Chief Financial Officer since March 2017. Mr. VanVleet came to Shrieve from The Mosaic Company where he spent nine years working in various financial and commercial roles. Prior to that, Jason was with US Bank and Wells Fargo for 11 years in various commercial capacities. Mr. VanVleet has spent his career providing strategic leadership to maximize financial return. He received his B.S. from Ambassador University, his M.A. from Dallas Theological Seminary, and is the proud holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Kevin S. Boyle, Sr.

Chief Financial Officer

Kevin S. Boyle, Sr. was appointed our Chief Financial Officer in May 2025. Mr. Boyle has over 25 years of experience in guiding both private equity backed and publicly traded companies through transformation, growth and operational scaling. Prior to joining the Company, Kevin served as Chief Executive Officer of Alaunos Therapeutics, and as CEO and CFO at Kuur Therapeutics where he led the company through a successful exit. Prior to joining Kuur, Mr. Boyle served as the chief financial officer of FloWorks International, Sigma3 Integrated Reservoir Solutions, Recover Care, and SPT Inc. Mr. Boyle graduated with a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.

Ted Threadgill

President

Ted Threadgill started in the chemical industry in 1989 with ComCar Industries subsidiary CTL Distribution, a Mulberry, Florida-based trucking company that served the Florida Phosphate region as its core carrier. Mr. Threadgill joined Shrieve in 1994 as its Southeast Regional Manager/VP through 2015. Mr. Threadgill served as President and CEO of Shrieve Chemical company from 2015 to 2021 and continues to serve Shrieve Chemical as its President and a member of the board of directors. Mr. Threadgill graduated from The University of North Florida as a baseball player with a B.B.A. in Management.

Randy Jones

Industrial Distribution

Randy Jones joined Shrieve Chemical is October 2010. Mr. Jones has spent his entire career in chemical distribution. Previously Randy served as President of Bigler Chemical before they were acquired by Shrieve.  He started his career with Ashland Chemical where he held numerous roles. He received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Florida and is the proud father of four grown children, three boys and a daughter.

Scott Gustafson

Specialty Lubricants & Energy Products

Scott Gustafson joined Shrieve in June 2006.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Gustafson was with Henkel, Solvay, and Shell Oil Company in various sales and business development roles for specialty lubricants and chemicals. Scott has spent his career developing new business opportunities and strategies for profitable growth.  He received his B.S. from Georgia Tech, his MBA in International Business from American Intercontinental University. He is member of STLE, ASHREA, SAE and an avid golfer.

Frank Zhang

General Manager, China

Frank Zhang joined Shrieve in December 2007 serving as general manager in the Asia Pacific region. Previously, Mr Zhang was Market & Business Development Manager of Cognis Synlubes for the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, Frank worked with Chevron and Stanley Tools in various sales and business development roles. Mr. Zhang graduated from Changzhou University, has an EMBA from Olin Business School at WashU, and DBA from Singapore Management University.

Scott Spillars

Operations

Scott Spillars joined Shrieve in March 2023. Prior to Shrieve, Mr. Spillars served as Vice President of Supply Chain, Logistics, and Sales at Hi-Crush Proppants. He previously worked at Kemira as Senior Product Line Manager. Scott began his career in 2006 as an R&D Chemist at Hexion Specialty Chemicals, where he spent 11 years advancing through technical and leadership roles. A certified LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt, Scott has generated over $100 million in productivity gains in his career. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Alcorn State University, where he graduated Magna cum laude and played varsity baseball for four years.
