Does it really matter which fuel additive I use?

Recently I have been joined in the New Business Development team by two colleagues, and it did not take long until I was asked the question, ‘does it really matter which fuel additive I use?’. Despite talking to many people about the benefits of fuel additives, it dawned on me that if my colleagues (who have worked with me for 2 years) are unsure about the benefits of specific fuel additives, then this question is almost certainly unanswered for pretty much everyone else. So, let us break this down.

Do I need to switch to an electric car from 2030?

Most people in the UK will have heard that from 2030 no new petrol or diesel cars can be sold. In the EU this may even reduce to 2025 with the Euro 7 emission rules! If you are running a vehicle and you regularly use the cheapest fuel available to you that just about passes the minimum EU standards for petrol or diesel you are not maximising the full amount of energy the fuel contains. This is not really open to debate this is a fact.
