ZEROL® HFO AUTOMOTIVE AIR CONDITIONING ENHANCER FOR R1234YF SYSTEMS
ZEROL® HFO is a proprietary lubricant additive formulated to provide enhanced system stability, lubricity, and friction reduction when used in mobile air conditioning systems employing R1234yf refrigerant gas.
Effective lubrication of the latest HFO, R1234yf mobile air conditioning (MAC) systems is critical to system operation and longevity. The R1234yf refrigerant gas molecule has been developed as an environmentally friendly replacement to HFC, R134a, and has different characteristics, which has led to challenges for lubricant formulators.
Shrieve has become a leader in HVAC&R lubrication technology and with PAG technology for R1234yf. In understanding the challenges that exist within these new systems, Shrieve is now able to offer a complete lubrication solution:
- ZEROL® HFO – an additive to offer enhanced protection in R1234yf systems, where other PAG and POE technologies are unable to provide adequate system stabilization
- ZEROL® HD – a lubricant that has been specifically optimized to maintain system stability for use in R1234yf
ZEROL HFO introduced into a belt-driven or electric R1234yf a/c system will scavenge damaging free radical/acidic species that may have formed over time and provide enhanced system stability. ZEROL HFO will also help to provide long-lasting additional extreme pressure (EP), anti-wear, lubricity, and overall improved system performance.
ZEROL HFO utilizes a novel, patented proprietary free radical/acid scavenging polymer that can be utilized at much lower treat rates than pre-existing additive technology.
